How to Test If Your VPN Is Actually Working

Three quick checks to confirm your VPN is hiding your IP and protecting you.

Connected to a VPN but not sure it's actually doing anything? Here's how to verify.

1. Check your IP changed

Before connecting, note your IP (search "what is my IP"). Connect, then check again — it should show a different IP and location. VPN Panda changes it instantly.

2. Confirm the location

The IP‑check site should now show the city/country of the server you chose, not your real one.

3. Look for DNS leaks

Use a DNS‑leak test site while connected. It should show the VPN's servers, not your provider's.

If something's off

Reconnect, try a different server, and make sure the app shows "Connected."

FAQ

Q: My IP didn't change — why? A: You may not be fully connected. Reconnect and confirm the app shows Connected before testing.

Q: What's a DNS leak? A: When your DNS requests bypass the VPN, revealing sites to your provider. A good VPN routes DNS through the tunnel.
